UpfrontCheck Capture: record your own checkout's prices in your browser
In short: For checkouts our scanner can't reach: click through your own checkout in Chrome or Edge and the extension sends the prices and screenshots for review.
When you need it
Our scanner checks checkouts automatically, but some can't be reached: they block automated browsers, ask automated visitors to stay away in robots.txt, or sit behind a login (for example your listing on a large booking platform). We never get around those. With capture mode, you click through your own checkout in your own browser and the extension sends what was on screen. A person reviews it and the report appears in your account, like any other check.
How it works
- Create your account (free) and open Capture mode. Install the extension in Chrome or Edge and paste the connection code from your account into it once.
- Open the page where customers first see a price and click Capture this step.
- Click through as a customer would (dates, tickets, options) to the price summary before payment, and capture that page too.
- Confirm it is your own checkout (or that you are authorised) and click Send for review.
What it reads, and when
- Only the tab you are on, and only when you click Capture this step: the page's visible text, the text you selected, the page title and address, and a screenshot of the visible screen.
- It never reads what you type into forms, never runs in the background, and sends nothing until you click Send for review. Captures go only to upfrontcheck.com.
- Capture before you type any personal details, and never complete a payment.
Plans
Capture mode is included in paid plans, and your free first check can be a capture. You need an account to use the extension; creating one is free and needs no card.
